40 years of experience, from the "floor" to boardroom.

Model of enterprice

We like to start off with understanding of enterprise model. Understanding this four components: product,/services, hardware, software and people and what weight each one carries on is vital for success. The picture on left is an eagle view at an enterprise. As many consultants there are as many different models. I developed this one for its simplicity and clarity. It is easy to address each component and exhaust its requirement. Because each one has assigned different weight, we should spet more time on it and put more effort according to its weight. All components "float" on a platform called grade & quality. Heigher grade and quality, the more attention we need to put into each components.

Business Processes Management

The process of systemizing how things are done, the “way of operating”, is known under many different names. Lets call it here Business Processes Management. It is a proven way of keeping profit high and the cost of quality low. It is in other words “Modus Operandi”, meaning method of operation, predominantly relate to criminal investigations where crimes with a similar pattern may prove to be committed by the same person. Similarly, a methodology leading to success can be used again and again, with confidence that it will lead to the same successes. However, the SYSTEM is only as good as the buy-in you get from the organization and senior management and the how well it is implemented.

Design management

Great designs never come out from a single drawing board. We are proud to collaborate with many associates with various expertises. Because of a number of high performing individuals are involved, there is a need for coordination - a  design management. Co-design is about synergy between two or more strong minds, with a spirit of cooperation. To help control the outcome of this cooperation we strictly follow the in house developed processes. The flow chart on the left shows the design loops, revisions. documents to be issued and describe in detail objectives of each step of the process.

Project management

Project Management  is probably the most threadbare, hackneyed, banal, abused and overused phrase in todays business nomencalture and because of that , many people do not realise how important is to know all trick and trades and all arcana of project management in oorder to perform it to a full capacity. At Glowacki Maritime, we have 40 years  of experience in PM,  and we constantly brushing up our skills and knowledge to stay abrest with the current methodologies. Tomek Glowacki holds Project Manager Professional (PMP) certificate since 2005 and performs project management duties for last 20 years.

Continuous improvement

Continuous improvement process is an ongoing effort to improve quality of products, services or processes. in another words it is a systematic approach to achieve small, incrimental changes in processes in order to improve efficiency and quality. Six Sigma is a set of techniques and tools for process improvement. It was develpped by Motorola in 1986. Since than it is used by many. Tomek glowacki holds Lean Six Sigma & DFSS and Six Sigma Black Belt certificates. Useing these methodology he was able to reduce a labour contentand and double profit in one of his assignment.
